Holes In My Knees

after a fabulous time running around italy (venice, florence, and rome), i think i need to slow down. returned to work wednesday, and over lunch decided to run to the grocery store to grab some fruit to go w/my salad. bad idea. the store is about 4 blocks away, and halfway there i found myself on the ground. literally. there's a short cut thru a park, but you have to walk down these huge gravel steps first. i remember walking down the steps, and next thing i know, i'm on the ground. the steps are a little ways from the street so i don't think anyone saw me fall over. fell face first, and i'm UBER LUCKY cuz i didn't break my glasses or my face. i did manage to put 2 GIGANTIC holes in my knees and my favorite dress pants (ruthie, please tell me banana still has these by the time i get back!). when i came to, i decided it was best to skip the grocery store and just hobble back to the office (the bleeding knees was a sign). my coworkers are so sweet! immediately they gave me some water, cleaned me up, and gave me some stuff that's suppose to be good for people who pass out (where do they find these things???). one of them even ran to the store and brought me back a banana so i could still have fruit w/my lunch.

really i'm fine. my knees hurt like crazy, but i'm fine. i'm sure it's from lack of sleep, not always eating fruits and veggies while roaming, and traveling like mad in what little time i have left here. needless to say, i'll be skipping paris this wknd and sticking around switzerland (just to make sure i fully recover). and w/the time off i'll be taking, i'll get my italy adventure posted ASAP.
