Teetering On the Edge

it's been exactly 2 months since i fell and apparently i have a ways to go.

went to PT this morning thinking it would be my last appointment. i was wrong. according to my physical therapist certain muscles have been compensating for the ones that shut down when i fell and hurt my back, which is why i ache in places i shouldn't (i.e. my hip flexor hurts when i run when my butt is suppose to be sore). to rebuild the muscles that shut down from the fall, i have to do more core strength training. told him i was doing all his prescribed exercises twice daily along w/running on a treadmill, but he says that's not enough if i want to be back to normal by summer.

WHAT?! summer? OMG...

his solution: intense strength training everyday going forward. according to him i'm "teetering on the edge" of normalcy vs. continued pain. i think he's looking to see abs of steal at our next appt in 2 wks.

my solution: chocolate truffles and strawberries in sweatpants on the couch while i blog looking for mass sympathy. bring it.

hang on, you're doing what he said you should do, twice daily, and it's still not working ?????
errm.... have you considered getting a second opinion ? cos i'm not sure transforming into super-jaimie (i know, it kind of shows how old i am) will prevent any kind of pains....
