friday: met up w/mr. aaron jarvinen for a couple of beers cuz all his friends were out of town (gracias, i think). this was the first time we've hung out in a long time, and it's mostly his fault. up until xmas, he had been working the last 8 mos or so in China. in my weak attempt to get a picture of him for the blog, he tried to do the same for his phone. my picture came out clearer, so i deem myself the winner. HA!
later that evening i met up w/susan and jen and some other folks. jen, who i claimed as my own little sister in college, was in town visiting from Omaha. was very cool to see her, but even more exciting now that it's official and she's moving back to mpls. WOOHOO! the only bummer is that it's not til may, and i'm hoping to be out of the country shortly thereafter...
saturday: worked in the morning, went out for coffee w/friends, and then went on a shopping extravaganza. didn't buy much, but just the fact that we were at the mall for OVER 4 HOURS makes it a huge event for me and my back. despite the agony, my friends kept me entertained:

jen petting may: ooo... you are soft...(may is obviously digging it.)

winter break abruptly ended on Tuesday morning, with the start of school. spring semester is 10 credits of non-stop fun for me (sarcastically speaking), and i'm NOT looking forward to it. i did find some 1st-day-back entertainment in rm 40 w/classmates michelle and andy (andy looks cheesy but that's cuz he's from Iowa). only 14 more wks to go!
