at work this morning i was pulled into a meeting to discuss a large event i'm helping to plan in Oct. the main person i'm working with has always been a prick to me unless i have something he needs, and today was no exception.
he asked me to see if we could fit another group's annual meeting along with ours. normally this isn't a big deal, but since i never got asked if i would work on the original event and now was being told to work on someone else's event, it bugged me. and when he asked why i looked bothered, i told him i didn't like how convenient it was for him to dump stuff on me so i would really appreciate being asked. this is where he went off, telling me this is something we've discussed before and could talk about another time. then he continued by going off about how he didn't understand what my problem was and that this was the first time i had ever brought up the issue.
WTF?!
after he got done screaming at me in front of 2 other people i told him we had been thru this before, his interpersonal skills sucked, and that if he had any other issues w/me or my attitude he could take them up w/my boss. then i went back to my desk, shut down my computer, and went home.
this is the same guy who harassed the shit out of me to quit my job instead of taking a leave of absence when i went to Switzerland, even tho my boss, his boss, and 3 other people much higher than any of us OK'ed the LOA. he's always been an unappreciative asshole, and it's obvious some things just don't change.
i hate my job.

i'm just happy this particular asshole isn't in our company, but we've got a few other (not so) 'funny' species...

people that are dicks usually have some personal issues about them, maybe he doesn't like his life nor his job, or just felt like being a bully after being picked on when a child. either way, there's probably something wrong with him.
i'm glad you had the balls to tell this jerk off! i'm right up there with you hating work! i hear you hye, i hear you! oh, good idea, by the way, on loading up on the booze. lately, that has been a necessity for me also! and another thing, you're irreplaceable:)
