Independencia de Mexico

after working all day friday and spending my evening studying, my friends eleni, sean, and may (same folks from the state fair post) convinced me to go to the Independecia de Mexico (side note: my friend ruthie, who's from mexico, thot it was entertaining that a cypriot, american, hmong, and korean were going to celebrate Mexico's independence...) this block party was taking place at Lake Street and Bloomington in south Mpls, and even tho i was exhausted, it was definitely worth it. lots of people, good music, and yummy food!

during the celebration we ran into our friend dan jackson, a recent graduate of the Humphrey Institute. he was w/a couple of female friends, and while we were chatting his ear off, two random boys approached and proceeded to hit on the ladies. was pretty obvious these guys didn't stand a chance so it was uber entertaining to watch failure at its finest! found out later the moment i captured was one of the guys asking for a phone number. when she said she had a boyfriend his reply was, "i don't mind. can i still have it?"
