went over to a friend's house to pick up something for work, and after drinking water all day like it was going out of style, i desperately needed to use the facilities. found a scale in his bathroom and instantly became curious. BIG MISTAKE! have never been terribly concerned about my weight cuz muscle weighs more than fat, right? so if i'm semi-heavy but look remotely fit it's ok, right? and the last time i went for a physical a year ago the DR weighed me and said nothing so i must be doing ok, right? wow, was i wrong. got off the digital scale and ran back downstairs.
me: is your scale accurate?
him (reluctantly): yeah, (then curiously) why?
me: it just said i'm a cow.
him: no it didn't...
me: yes it did. it said i'm 26.8 lbs heavier than i was a year ago.
him: whoa.
unfortunately his scale is pretty damn accurate. i can't even say i'm husky anymore. i'm just big. for those that can't do the conversion, this means i gained 12.2 kilos. OMG! (mike in geneva - i told you i was chubby!) as my friend mr jarvy once said after a day of eating at last year's MN state fair (which i can't even use as my own excuse): "i am my own zip code". i now officially am.

i hope you did not gain these 12 kg in your few days in US? you were totally fine when you left gva! ;-)
it does include 3 mos in geneva. sounds crazy, but definitely feasible. i ate chocolate crossiants all the time...
