Hello Minneapolis!

sept 1, 3:30pm CENTRAL time: my parents picked me up at the airport, drove me 1.5hrs to their house in rochester, and fed me enormous amounts of korean food (mom made my favorite spicy tofu soup - yummy!). after sharing stories and seeing family, i hopped in my car and drove to minneapolis.

it's strange being back. there are things i remember, but they're not so familiar anymore....like driving. i can't seem to drive straight cuz i was all over the highway (and this has nothing to do w/taking a picture from the car)! you have to understand that while i luv and take many road trips, i hate driving cuz there always comes a point in the ride where i stop paying attention (miles and miles of farmland will do that to you). saturday's drive back to mpls was one of those moments, and fortunately, i made it w/o incident...

still, there are some things that have been coming back to me quite easily. i went into my favorite 24 hr gigantic grocery store for the first time in months this wknd. bizarre, yet kinda nice... while i could have bought anything, i immediately returned to my familiar wknd routine prior to geneva: a coffee, donut, and 3 newpapers. i can finally get a decent donut again!

and thank god for caffeine and sugar. since arriving i've been doing nothing but running around, and am having a hard time keeping up...
