GOUF! consists of 3 bars within walking (or staggering) distance of each other. a couple of hours are spent at the first 2 locations on a fairly loose schedule, w/the last bar being a place where everyone can dance (the guy who started this tradition LUVS to dance). it sounds cheezy, but always a good time. i, of course, somehow never make it to the last location...on this particular evening we were in NE Mpls. the group started along the river at Pracna's, followed by polka music and piano bar at Nye's, and dancing a few blocks down the street at the Front. i dragged my friend gabe out w/me, a non-Humphrey person who luvs to dance. and since he knew none of my classmates on the dance floor, i thot it only fair that i dance too. and wow did i dance! i danced AND i was sober. have no idea what i was thinking...
jackie - sorry no pics of the dancing, but you would have been proud. i could've provided at least 2 hrs of non-stop footage for you to laugh at later...

jackie - you should definitely start something in geneva! what's the equivalent of GOUF in french? if it translates to lets-eat-chocolate-croissants i'm all for it :)
alex - it's not that i didn't want to dance w/you guys, i just wanted to save myself the humiliation so that i could someday return :)
Dude.....I am just grateful for a picture of a fantastic Mpls bar. I miss that place!
