Trick or Treat!

the time: this past wknd
the place: the suburbs & mpls
the plan: 2 nights, 3 halloween parties, 75 gay men, and 1 tammy faye.

needless to say, a very busy wknd running around. some of the same folks were going to the same parties so i had to come up w/2 different costumes (cat and flapper), 2 different party treats to share (brownies and cookies), and 2 different excuses to cut out early so i could go to bed at a decent hour (which both failed).

1st night highlight: friends jay and darren had a party at their place, and they warned anyone not in costume would be put INTO a costume. i was expecting something stupid like bunny ears or a wig, but they had FULL costumes! apparently darren was allowed to borrow some from his school's theater dept and they looked awesome! my favorite was laura ingalls wilder cuz if you knew the guy wearing it, it's a perfect fit...

2nd night highlight: walking in the door and finding jim and tammy faye bakker. i can't even begin to tell you how hard i was laughing at her hair and make-up. i'm just not that creative. that, and i can't imagine putting 2 cans of aqua net hair spray in my hair. we decided the only thing funnier than how she looked was going to be the cashier's face when she stopped at the grocery store to pick up some conditioner on the way home.
