Catching Up

the last 2 wks have been a bit nuts, thus no posts. here's a little summary:

• i turned a year older and celebrated w/pork belly and wine and a job offer
• the next day i accepted the job offer and realized my lazy life of baking and knitting was about to change rather quickly
• went out to dinner w/friends to celebrate the previous 48 hours
• finally got to see the museum of science and industry
• ran to MN for a few days and failed at helping mom fill out retirement paperwork (wasn't my fault!), had lunch w/yong, visited kam (who looks AWESOME since i last saw him in the hospital), and saw dane, peter, and peggy for a drink
• returned to chicago in time for a fun wknd w/erick and melissa
• flew out for a hellish wk of apt hunting (future post on this saga to follow)

and here we are, 2 wks later...

i'm now in the midst of packing, cleaning, and sorting out what can feasibly go w/me to my new home. if it doesn't fit in my car, it's not going.

and did i mention i'm leaving a wk from thurs?
