So This Is What Hell Is Like...

i handle pressure well, but there should be some rule somewhere that says somebody is obligated to tell you when something is about to kick your ass.

this wk has been near disaster. i've been put in a position to sink or swim, and i'm drowning. literally. i know it'll get better, but i'm also realistic that it won't until mid-Feb. double shitters.

my goals for the wknd:
1. do enough work so i can go to bed before 2am
2. unpack kitchen crap & clean kitchen
3. buy groceries & make something homemade (even if it's mac & cheese out of a box)

my reward if i'm successful:
SATURDAY MORNING PANCAKES

can you say YUMMO?

(i know that you know that i know that i'm getting them anyways, but i don't care. in my world, pre-payment is OK for what is likely to be hard labor.)

in addition to work, i've also gotten to experience a bit of the city. traffic is unreal, food is yummy, and the bartenders are uber nice w/o being creepy! with the exception of a few, i've met lots of interesting and really nice people who all seem to be more than happy to welcome little ol' me into their city.

now if only i could get more sleep...

(top to bottom: atlanta traffic; the houston mill house at emory where they hosted a welcome lunch for me; the standard w/turkey at pizza fusion; the only thing between me and my pancakes)

so when I visit, we're going to that place to eat pancakes. I drooled all over the law library reference desk just reading the menu.....
