Home Sweet Home

being back in geneva feels like coming home. not that i lived here long, but it's comforting to be on familiar ground, seeing familiar faces, and eating EXCELLENT chocolate croissants for breakfast every morning!

after several meetings today, including one where i was kindly told i'm too young and low on the ladder to get someone's email at another UN org ("...they were founded 5 or 6 yrs ago when you were still in college."), i met my friend mike for dinner. was nice to have an evening sans work to just enjoy w/friends!

after checking out mike's apt and failing to resolve his computer issues, we went down the street to a little chinese resta that was nothing short of AWESOME. our friend alex was suppose to join, but he accidentally locked himself out of his apt when he was on his way. i'd like to think it was cuz he was uber excited to see me, but i'm pretty sure it was more like he stepped out for a sec and a gust of wind came along...

that's ok tho. our friend jiji came out w/a coworker, and after an educating conversation on the multiple uses of cock rings, we walked mike home and headed to 7 Arts for a drink. i only stayed for one (see earlier posts on lack of sleep), but that was long enough to find tetley's, my new favorite beer!

have only been here for 24 hours, and already i've been volunteered to work at a charity lunch on saturday (becky-homecky knows no boundaries!). don't know what else is going on this wknd, but i'm sure someone will eventually tell me what i'm doing...
