For the Luv of Fuck...

while napping today i got a rude awakening. woke up to the bldg fire alarm going off. that was awful. turned out the cable rm, which houses all the cable units in the bldg, was on fire. apparently they had recently done some cable work for the retail stores down below, and fucked it all up cuz the the fire started underground and that's where the majority of the smoke was coming from...

and because the electricity for my side of the bldg is housed in that same cable room, my electricity is out. and everything in my apt runs on electric. needless to say this sucks. not only am i still jetlagged, but i just went grocery shopping yesterday w/the intention of cooking something at home this wknd. after a wk of hotel food, it was the ONLY thing i had my heart set on, and now i can't (i meant to yesterday, but passed out before i could). they think we'll get some juice back in 6-10 hours at best, which means either way i'm taking my shower in the dark. i'll survive, but i don't think my ice cream will.
