what IS fun is surprising people! *sigh* i luv surprises. there's just something terribly entertaining about seeing the look of shock and awe on someone's face when they realize you did something totally unexpected, totally out of the way. it's like instant gratification. and i'll take whatever i can get in these damn heels...
friend buckley is currently on an east coast tour, and was playing a show at the four fields in DC. i happened to be in town for a last min meeting, and had to take advantage of the opportunity. friend jen h. met me at the airport and kindly came with, even tho the show was all the way in cleveland park.cleveland park is like going to the burbs. as one person put it, if you live in DC and get married, you move to cleveland park. i'm never getting married...
after a short metro ride and finding the bar, we walked inside. i marched right up to the front where the band was tuning up, stood in front of buckley, and said HEY!
he turned around, eyes wide, and gave me a big WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!
that was awesome...
