i luv NY. it's big and crazy and there's so much to see. and there's a vibe about it that i don't get anywhere else. makes me want to move there. SOON.perhaps now?
was there for some last minute meetings with some very impressive folks, all of which work at a really cool org. needless to say, i was totally geeking out.
the funniest part about the visit was going to the bathroom. while i know they work on everything from poverty issues to maternal health to HIV/AIDS reduction, i was still surprised to find a bowl of condoms sitting on the shelf in the ladies room. going potty? remember to wash your hands AND take a rubber. it was SO ODD and yet very responsible. safe sex applies EVERYWHERE...(and NO i didn't take one. only the picture. was going to, but then figured w/my luck i'd get searched in the airport security line and asked about it... out loud... with the guy i was traveling with waiting for me...)
anyhoo, i think the mtgs went well. at least well enough that at the end of the day someone pointed out a job opening.
