Losing It

as i write, i'm camped out in a coffee shop in south mpls. i have 2 computers up and running, papers everywhere, w/folders and binders spread out across 2 tables and 3 chairs (my butt is in the 4th chair). i have a report due Mar 24th, but am desparately trying to finish it by next thurs in the hopes of leaving town for a mini-break easter wknd.

and while i've made a lot of progress today, i haven't made as much as i wanted to. random people keep invading my thots and deterring my focus. rather than concentrating on procurement practices and e-sourcing tools, i keep thinking about past conversations and paths i've crossed.

why is it the people you DON'T want to think of the most are always the ones who keep coming to mind? and it's always for no apparent reason. one minute i'm typing about reverse auctions; the next i'm unwillingly recalling something from 2006. my thots keep involuntarily wandering and it's just MADDENING...

so to all of you that keep invading my space, STOP IT. at least for the next 72 hours so i can get some work done...
