35W

the 35W bridge fell into the mississippi river tnite during rush hour traffic. i've never seen anything like it. what was once an 8 lane bridge is now a pile of twisted concrete in the water below. they reported at 10pm emergency crews were switching from a rescue to a recovery operation.

it's been under construction all summer, as it had been before, and NO ONE thot this was going to happen. and because 35W is a major highway thru the cities and this particular bridge ran along the U of M campus, i can't even begin to tell you how many times i've been on it.

so rather than spending my evening working, i spent it on the phone calling and txting luved ones. as far as i know, all are accounted for. i hope yours are OK too.
