Christkindlmarket

todd and i recently went to downtown to spend a few hours at the christkindlmarket.

it was 35F and raining, but we had fun anyways.

lots of little crafts and handmade gifts to see.

todd ended up buying a wooden pencil for his secret santa at work (the kind you have to sharpen w/a knife). it had the ugliest carved lizard on the top of it. and even tho it wasn't something i would've picked out, it was hard not to be really impressed by the craftsmanship: it was so detailed and so well done, it looked like a real ugly lizard!

but our favorite part was the hot mulled wine, esp since it was such a cold rainy day. i could drink this stuff by the gallon. yummo!

we ended up leaving tipsy and wandered over to macys for some xmas shopping. despite the rain, it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon!
