Whale Sharks!
about a wk ago, i finally got to see the georgia aquarium, which is the largest aquarium in the world.
it gets its bragging rights from having more than 8 million gallons of water, 3 whale sharks, the only 2 manta rays in a US aquarium.

unfortunately the beluga whale exhibit and the penguins were both under construction, but the deep sea tank totally made up for it.
it's the size of a football field and holds a ton of sea life, including the whale sharks and manta rays.
it also has a 100 ft underwater tunnel and a ginormous viewing window that's 23 ft wide, 61 ft tall, and 2 inches thick.
of the 3 whale sharks, 1 is significantly bigger than the others. i've named him herbert and want to take him home. he's HUGE!
no pictures of the person i was with, but i will say he was really sweet and made it fun. think our next touristy thing to do will be a trip to the zoo...
