Well Hello There...

i know it's been 2 wks since i posted anything, and while i was intending to, life got in the way.

(and when i say life, i mean work cuz that is my life...)

many exciting and not so exciting things have happened over the last couple of wks: roy boy and jenny l. came for a visit, i've been baking up a storm, and i'm attempting to knit. i've also met a nice guy, am running from 2 crazy ones, and am debating whether or not to leave my company after almost a decade of service.

all the while i'm also trying to keep my head afloat working 4 jobs, preparing for board meetings next month, and sorting thru the details of all the meetings we have scheduled around the world this fall (as of right now, it looks like i will have 5 days in my own bed between thanksgiving and new years).

most days i find myself out of steam, horribly exhausted, and not wanting to do any work (thus this mid-morning post). but i got a request that needs to be shared:

friends charlotte and amos have a friend, ethan zohn, who's been named 1 of 5 finalists for the GQ Better Men Better World Search. they're asking everyone to take a min and vote for him. the finalist with the most votes received by 5pm Oct 7, 2009 will be declared the winner, and ethan intends on donating all the prize money to HIV/AIDS, soccer, and cancer charities. he was diagnosed w/hodgkin's disease earlier this year, and was just recently informed that it's come back. you may also recognize him as the winner of survivor africa, after which he used his winnings to create grassroots soccer, which promotes HIV/AIDS education in affected countries.

if you have a chance, take the time to vote (i know i'm biased towards cute soccer players, but you should vote for him anyways).
