Unf*cking Believable...

i'm a little ticked.

went to the airport today to fly to macedonia, and wasn't able to get on the flight.

and being the experienced traveler i am, i got to the airport on time knowing that i would have to go to the counter to get my boarding pass.

after waiting in line, i finally got to the counter and immediately gave my passport and itinerary to the agent.

told her i was flying to prague via munich, and that i already had paper tix for my flight to skopje.

told her i wasn't checking any bags.

told her i just needed my boarding pass.

but rather than zipping thru, she took her sweet time. and when i say she took her sweet time, she was obviously in NO RUSH to print anything.

now i understand that every ticketing agent needs to pull up your itinerary before issuing a boarding pass. what i don't understand is why she proceeded to take her sweet time reviewing my itinerary and searching for something (lord only knows what) that had NOTHING to do w/my flight.

and as a result, i missed the 60 min mark. you have to have your boarding pass printed within 60 mins of your flight before the gate takes control. once the gate takes control, you can't get a boarding pass, and thus, can't get on your flight.

once the agent realized she screwed up, she called her supervisor to ask for help, who proceeded to go off on me as if i did something wrong. she was the biggest bitch i've ever met, and after getting nothing but attitude, i demanded to speak w/her supervisor.

and it's not just the inconvenience of having to depart a day later, but also the crap i'm going to get when i arrive on monday and hit the ground running. i didn't want to go on this trip, but i'm doing it to keep the peace w/someone who was once a friend and now a professional nightmare. even tho this wasn't my fault, i'm never going to hear the end of it. stellar. f*cking stellar.

OK, i'm done crabbing. hopefully the rest of this trip is better...
