SNOW!
it's currently snowing like mad here. LIKE MAD. but we'll get back to that in a min.
b is in town this wknd and we've done a fair bit of running around. fri was a low-key night in, but sat was busy! we went out for some yummy breakfast and then over to the high (not HYE) museum for the afternoon.
they were featuring the terra cotta soldiers, pieces from the louve, folk art, and bwa masks from burkina faso. the museum is nothing short of awesome, and i would totally go again. it's nice to know in a town i occasionally find alien, there is a chunk of good taste carved out for people to find.
speaking of good tastes... we also went out for cheeseburgers and tots (everybody luvs a good tater tot, or a pile of them) at the vortex. they claim to have amazing burgers, and they're absolutely right. we also ventured out for a few drinks and met a tatoo artist, a few new yorkers, and a russian who wanted us to hang out.(of course we went somewhere else. but i really liked that bar, so i'm definitely going back. and hopefully sans russian.)
despite today's crazy weather, we ventured out for some furniture shopping and a trip to the dekalb farmers market. this might be one of the coolest places i've ever been to in atlanta. it's a ginormous warehouse filled w/stuff from everywhere. want white cornmeal from MN? looking for some korean potato starch? how about some chilean raspberries? this place doesn't have it all, but it comes pretty damn close.and now we're at home watching the snow. fri started out warm and rainy, sat was warm and not as rainy, and today it's just been crazy. the morning rain turned into heavy, wet snow and it's since been coming down really fast. we probably got 2-3 inches, which by atlanta standards, is pretty nuts. and just like atlanta standards, it won't last. it's suppose to be 50F by tues and 70F by next wknd. but today, it's almost like MN.lol. almost.

Who doesn't love a good farmer's market, and it's a world market no less. Awesome!! I thought of you when I head it dropped almost 5 inches in ATL. Just like MN spring!
lol! yes it is. very schizo and unpredictable!
"Was he wounded, or was it just a clever shirt?" I'm so glad I have a text message to memorialize how awesome Saturday night was.
