Hye's Pies & Other Stuff

the announcement is officially out so i can finally talk publicly about it.

for those that don't know, i'm starting a new job after thanksgiving. will be creating a business plan for sourcing vitamins to fortify food going to developing countries. and while i'll still be employed at my current company, they're "loaning" me to do this work for the swiss group i worked for in geneva last year. i'll be based in mpls, but will start traveling there after the holidays.

and since it's only a year-long assignment (less if the project doesn't fly), i have a back-up plan: open a place called HYE'S PIES & OTHER STUFF (named that way cuz a coworker couldn't understand i'd be called becky-homecky when HYE PIE is available). will use my pretty little mixer to make and sell baked goods (but no pie) and coffee. and rather than having walls of books for people to browse, we'll have walls of SHOES. when you're eating a cupcake and drinking espresso, you can also try on a pair of heels. how FABULOUS is that?!

god i'm brilliant. sometimes i even amaze myself...
