just found out that i have to take my global public policy final on saturday, may 12 at 10am. SATURDAY, MAY 12th! while this is INCREDIBLY irritating cuz it's the last day of finals week AND roughly 27 hrs before i walk at graduation, it's also at the same time MY YOUNGER BROTHER GRADUATES. in mankato. an hour and a half car ride away. AND I WASN'T PLANNING ON MISSING IT.
sent an email to both professors, kudrle and barnett, and they've replied that i don't have a choice. "The final schedule is posted on the UM website. I believe it is May 12. Unfortunately the university prohibits us giving alternative times - as I am sure you understand. Sorry."

the Humphrey Institute has NEVER followed the UofM's final exam schedule, so why are they now? my guess is k and b made other commitments and refuse to change their plans. WTF?
i'm not above begging (or name calling), but since i'm in policy school, i'll be protesting...

UPDATE: i've been officially informed by both professors that they are under no obligation to tell any students when anything is, and because the exam date itself is "unremarkable" (guess which prick used that word?), i making a bunch of fuss over nothing. it was hard not to write F*CK OFF in my response back.
