way too much homework kept me from going home to see my parents, so after working on some school stuff and a paper, i went to my friend eleni's house for easter. she's from cyprus, and since greek orthodox easter happened to land on easter easter, we celebrated greek style (tho w/o any plate smashing...).
eleni and her boyfriend sean were kind enough to welcome lots of stranded orphans to their apt. loads of fun hanging out w/friends and meeting new folks.
most of the food was greek, tho there was a filipino dish (thx jenny!) and a bulgarian (i think it was bulgarian or maybe that was just the bulgar wheat in it...) casserole. my contribution was homemade angel food cake and strawberries. not very greek but still yummy! sean also happened to bring home a TON of food from the greek restaurant he works at so there was baklava, honey cake, and these little onion and red pepper tarts that were uber good (yes andy, little onion ate the onions!). and of course, lots of wine...
after a while it was nap time, tho the only place to hide out was the bedroom. it started early on w/just may and laila, but may eventually went home. then eleni laid down. and then i joined. and then carrie. and then the rest of the women in the apt...
eventually it was time to go. sadly tmrw is monday and reality starts at 7am w/some stuff at school before i run off to work.hope all of you had a nice easter too!
