was in chi-town for a few days and got to visit high school friends peter and dane. peter recently moved to st. louis, but was in chicago for the wknd to help dane car shop. if i had been invited to help out, dane would be driving a hyundai elantra and have saved $10,000+. instead, he now owns a BMW and has almost convinced me that i should buy one too...
highlight of my visit (besides seeing 2 of my favorite people from home and riding in a car worth as much as my college education) was going to a cubs game. i thot we were going to be in the bleachers by the scoreboard, but dane got us tix next to third base and ridiculously close to the field. WAY COOL.
even the apts next to the field would've been decent seats. how would you like to live in a building that had bleachers on the roof?
scary moment of the day: dane said we had to drink old style, but our beer guy couldn't multi-task. he tried taking money, pouring, and holding a tray of beers all at the same time.
funniest moment of the day: watching this dude a few rows ahead of us. we dubbed him Angry Man. i can't even begin to tell you how entertained i am when i look at this pic...HAHAHA!!!thank you dane for the tix and the good time; peter for staying an extra day to hang out; and peggy for letting peter stay and play :)
