that evening met up w/friends for a few drinks at a little place in uptown. a lot more people came out than i had expected, which was a really nice surprise! overall a very good time.highlight of the evening for me: hanging out w/a bunch of friends.
highlight for everyone else: not breaking the bank cuz i picked a cheap place for drinks.
highlight for carrie and eleni and john: watching me attempt to take off a necklace carrie gave me earlier in the evening. i tied it around my neck in a double-knot w/o realizing it had a velco closure a 2-yr-old could use. lol. when i tried taking it off, i couldn't undo the knot so ultimately ended up sliding it off my face. picture a black loop around my head, cheeks squished together, and me clumsily rolling this ribbon up my face w/the palms of my hands. it wasn't pretty, but by all accounts i've been told it was entertaining to watch... thankfully no pics!
