Wknd Learnings

spent saturday at my younger brother's fiancee melissa's bridal shower in sherburn, MN. have you ever been there before? neither had i. this is what i learned:

1. there is NO ONE on I-90 on saturday mornings. i'm convinced everyone in southern MN takes the day off. my only entertainment along the drive was passing a sign for kiester, MN. seriously, why would you name your town kiester???

2. i can remember the names of all melissa's sisters, even when they're not sitting in order of age (seen here as melissa, larissa, melanie, maria, and lynnae). i'm a rock star.

3. there's a windmill in welcome, mn (melissa's hometown). nice use of technology! this may seem trivial to most, but when your driving down the highway w/NOTHING to look at, a ginormous shiny chunk of clean energy is kinda exciting...

4. my mother thinks i'm old. she gave me some expensive eye cream and said, "at your age you should start using it now to avoid wrinkles later."

5. people say stupid things when they've been drinking. unfortunately, i promised i wouldn't post their stupidity. damn.
