Rest of Sydney
wow. traveling for the past month has been a bit crazy. between the slow internet access (if at all) in africa, thanksgiving holiday, and readjusting my body clock multiple times, i haven't had much time to myself, much less blog. but here's my weak attempt at catching up...
one of my bosses told me i had to make time to see the bats at sydney's royal botantical gardens. these things are gigantic! they have a 1.5 meter wing span and look like they can eat small babies.we also walked around the rest of the gardens and saw, among other things, a very cool greenhouse (don't ask me about the sex + death); the wollemi pine, australia's oldest pine tree; pretty flowers; and ginormous trees.
eventually the gardens open up to darling harbor, and a short walk away, the sydney opera house.
the rest of the visit was spent wandering thru circular quay, the rocks, and a yummy tapas restaurant...
i'm SO jealous of anyone that get to live here. it's such a fantastic place! thank you trey for the uber good time, even if you kept me out til 5am :)
